ABOUT THE ARTIST

For many years I have travelled to wilderness areas in search of inspiration for my prints. To the rainforests of Brazil and Peru, to Africa and India and particularly to outback Australia, taking photographs and making sketches for my linocuts, relief prints and screenprints. My work is almost entirely concerned with the natural world. I seek to invoke the atmosphere of place by capturing the sense of light and heat, reflections in water and wide horizons using strong shapes and colours.
